Photography is a passion. I enjoy taking snapshots as well as creating professional quality images. Subjects often include: portraits of people and dogs, landscapes, flowers, birds, New York City, and whatever else catches my eye.

Downy Woodpecker

Downy Woodpecker

This image of a Downy Woodpecker was selected by The Field Museum in Chicago, IL, for inclusion in its newly renovated Gidwitz Hall of Birds. It is an honor to have such a prestigious institution select my image to educate its visitors about birds.

I hope you enjoy your visit to my blog. You can see more of my images at: Beth Fishkind Photography.

  1. Thanks for discovering our blog and giving us the chance to see yours. Really enjoy your photographs. The little downy woodpecker is a frequent visitor at our bird feeder where he just loves to feed on the suet treats we make for them. 😉

    • Thanks for the follow! I’m all digital now, but my interest in photography began back in the no-auto-anything 35mm SLR age, developing black and white film in my darkroom. Makes me appreciate your approach to photography. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. 🙂
